Something I have noticed in these past years . I dunno if it is a common trait with all mentioned but generally speaking , people seem to be losing the personal touch. On New Year's Eve I make it a point to wish people personally see to it that a card goes out to all those that I know . I know the feeling since I like to receive a card myself that is personally addressed to me not a blind bcc list forwarded to the sender's own name or a blank mail . Saying Wish you all a happy and prosperous 2003. I hate those lists believe me that;s too easy to wish selecting all from your address list and just doing a bcc.

Gone are the days where we used to wait for New Year Greeting cards. That seems to be totally out of fashion these days.Collect colourful greetings. I was soured out with those blank printed greetings that came in fashion in between cause of cost issues I guess cause colourful greeting cards used to make my day. I haven't received a single greeting card in the past two years.Last year I made a resolution collecting all the mail addresses thinking I would send New Year Greetings but the resolution remained inactive. I got the addresses but never sent it . Just to let you know I used to collect cards and stamps. Most of my stamps were from Republic of Oman which a friend had given me.But it was my prized possesion I used to show it to everyone who turned up at my house.

Then came email.. My god it was an addiction.My first experience I was embarrased when my first time I went to the email center my friend had created a hotmail account for me and I was proud to tell everyone that I had a hotmail account not that I even knew how to access it then or even load a website. That time "bluemountain.com" was my favourite. Then archies greetings.. My favourite one till date with them was a comic character shooting into space. I guess they 've started charging for their services and 123greetings the moment you open it so… so… so.. many ads pop up. I guess that's how they're still managing to keep their service free of cost.

Yahoo greetings is my current favourite. Not that by writing all this I have the time or patience that I am complaining with regard to others .I tend to be a bit overly sarcastic … Not that I send out individual cards to everyone individually but really how much time does it take. We want to appear indifferent but are we really indifferent. I guess all of us like a personal touch. Even on New Year's Eve how many of us hesitated to call people you wanted to call just because they did not call you. I hesitated in a lot of cases. I just didn't want to. I don't really know if I am the only person who thinks this way or many of us think the way that I do.

Such beautiful cards available. Archies " The best way to show you care". In school time going and picking up those lovely worded greeting cards and sending it to the best of your pals and closest of your friends . How much I loved giving it and how much I loved receiving it. We used to court people with cards. Beautiful cards. Made everyone happy. I guess now it's gift cards. Or rather sense of expression is gone.

You know what I did not even get a card for my birthday for the past two years. I only got email greetings. I dislike email . I don't even write letters anymore. Not like those carefully worded letters. Only emailed letters no fun in reading. Mostly forwarded mails or stupid jokes or pps's which I'm always scared have viruses in them. I check my email once in 5 days and I'm always happy when I have a personal message. These days other than forwarded mails I don't seem to get one.

Oh no no !! I am not choosing the easy way out.. I am not putting my thoughts into actions. I do the same nearly everyone does…(Secret I never do that). So from here my message goes to "everyone" on the list …. Season's greetings and Best Wishes for a very Happy and Prosperous New year.. !!! ..
