Got 221g Yellow Slip At Mumbai

Hi All,

I had an interview on 19th Jan 2012. He asked me simple question like who is your RO, what is your project and location.
He wrote all my answers on one print out paper and said review this and make any change if I made any wrong comment and sign over there.
All the points were valid points and signed over there.
He gave me Yellow slip and said keep track of the US consulute website. I asked him how much time will it take? He said i dont know.
And I came back with nervous face :(

Can any one have any idea about this? how much time will it take ?

Hello....i had the exact saame experience...i interviewed on Jan 23 and still waiting. Did you get any updates yet?

Even the same thing happened with me as well !!! I have applied for H-1B Extension and got 221G Yellow Slip. They took my backpapers and LCA Document. Lets hope that I will get some update soon...

I had an interview on 27th Feb 2012...same thing happened to me..applied for B1 visa and got 221(g) yellow slip.They return back my passport..

i got one letter
Based on the interviews & documents submitted at US Consulate mumbai we have returned your petition to USCIS for review & further revocation. If consular offices receives information during the interview process that was not available to the adjudicating immigration officer at the time of petition approval & that shows the beneficiary of a petition is not entitled to accorded status,then the petition must be returned to the USCIS for re-examination due to this requirement

on the mumbai consulate website in PDF file they post CEAC barcodes of applications that required administrative processing under Section 221g.. they have given the list of dates of 28th and 29th Feb..but they didn't post the CEAC no of 27th feb 2012 which is my interview date.any clue about that or they take more time...

your CEAC bar code will update there in the list once they have finish with your case review.. you have to check your barcode on daily basis not in updated folder... Now they will create folder for March 2012 then we have to check in that folder...
How was your interview? Did consulate said somthing to you? The processing will take -- time ?

So did they sent your case back to USCIS ? are you on a EVC model ? Did they sent you an email telling that they are sending back your case? Let us know.

I am in same boat. I had an interview on 9th feb and i got yellow slip after basic questions. VO told me to check status online. She didn't ask any documents to submit.

I haven't heard any thing from them. It's frustrating to wait. :(

Hi Kuldeep,
My interview was good, they just ask simple questions like, why u want to go, when u joined ur present company, ur designation and salary, ur previous company and how long u been there, ur client name..
and in the end he just gave me my passport and yellow slip..and told me to chk the website to see ur CEAC no on the mentioned website....

i am also in the same boat as you ,

Interview date :6th March 2012
yellow slip & submitted LCA & i129

got a hard copy letter on my home address on 17 April 2012 stating that the case is send to USCIS for further review

Please keep me update once you hear back anything
