    Post PIO Card Application Procedure at Indian Consulate,Houston TX (Received in 2 weeks)

    Sir/Madam,

    Enclosed is the application for the Person of Indian Origin (PIO) card for my son, Mr. ..... ....... ........... along with the checklist of the required documents for your consideration.

    Person of Indian Origin (PIO) Card Application Checklist

    1)Application form duly filled in (in duplicate) with four passport size photographs.(Indian Passport Size)
    2)Cashiers check of $185 (PIO card application fee) drawn in favor of Consulate General of India, Houston.
    3)Photocopy of the cashiers check with name of the applicant and telephone number on the reverse side.
    4)Cashiers check of $20 (Return mailing charges) drawn in favor of Consulate General of India, Houston.
    5)Notarized copy of childís birth certificate.
    6)Notarized copy of first three and last three pages of childís US Passport.
    7)Notarized copy of first three and last three pages of parentsí Indian Passport.
    8)Proof of US Address (Copy of Utility bill, Energy bill, Driverís License).

    Default Got it in Less than 2 weeks Applied by Post

    Hi Got this in less than 2 weeks and we sent the application by post . Also We sent USPS money order of $185 for which i guess cost is less than cashiers check & sent a self addressed stamped bubble mailer with priority mail delivery confirmation stamps(total cost $7) instead of drawing another $20 cashiers check for returned mailing .Also sent the mail by priority mail delivery confirmation

    Person of Indian Origin (PIO) Card Application Checklist

    1)Application form duly filled in (in duplicate) with four passport size photographs.(Indian Passport Size)
    2)Money Order of $205 (PIO card application fee + Return mail Fee) drawn in favor of Consulate General of India, Houston.
    3) Photocopy of the Money Order with name of the applicant and telephone number on the reverse side.
    4) Apostille issued by State as proof of childís birth certificate.
    5) Notarized copy of Childís US Passport.
    6) Notarized copy of parentsí Indian Passport.
    7)Proof of US Address (Copy of Utility bill, Driverís License).
