Default Mother's Visa rejected, No reason or form given ???

    Hello folks,

My mother got her interview on 20th OCT 2011 at Hyderabad consulate for Visitor Visa, and her visa got rejected and there is no slip / form given for the reason but there was a case number written on DS-160 application confirmation page and marked a crossed red line on the same page.

as per my Mom, The visa officer asked some typical questions like purpose of visit, how many children, what type of work your son does and the company name etc.. she answered all the questions but when she tried to say the company name she couldn't pronounce it so she gave the sponsor's ( I'm the sponsor) supporting documents (which includes my employer verification letter and company name on it) then the officer looked at those supporting documents at a glance and told that there was a mistake in the documentation and told that he couldn't give the visa at this time. And there was no rejection notice or form given.

Did anyone experience this before ? Also, should we expect a letter for any visa rejections/refusals?

I tried to find the status using the case number written on DS-160 confirmation page, but it says the following message.

"We were not able to identify Case # 2011*** **, Please make sure you have entered your case number correctly."

Please share your experiences as well as thoughts on this.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

I have the same issue, i applied my application in new delhi for b1/b2 visa. My appointment was on 12 march 2012, when i went to us embassy, they asked me few questions and said i did not found you perfect for us immigration visa right now and gave me my passport and ds 160 form with 11 digit long case number written on top of the form. I tried to check my status online, but result was same.

Please share your experience if you have found anything.

    Thanks,
    Saurav
