I appeared for my H4 visa on 6th January 2012 at Delhi consulate. Visa officer asked me about why my husband did not come along with me. (My husband is currently in USA and his H1b stamping is also expired 14 months back. ) Visa officer also asked me about his company as he switched his employer. Later she asked me will my husband return to India ( may be because my husband never came back). She kept my passport and said you will get your passport after a week as I need to do some research on your husband's job related paper. I kept waiting till 30th January. As I was running out of patience, I wrote a email to VFS regarding my Visa. They replied me after contacting the US Embassy that they sent me a email on 11th January for addition information (which I never received). Along with reply they also attached a 221g form in the email. However, I submitted my husband's W2 forms, tax returns, pay stubs, client letter, employment verification letter, LCA etc. Now they asked documents from employer's side ( employer's all federal tax returns for 2 years and W2 forms of all the employees of the Petitioner ), which I will get by next week. Now I wanted to know, after submitting the documents what are the chances of getting my Visa and how much time it will take. I am very tensed now as I had my return tkt booked on 4th feb 2012 (wasted ). Share the information if anyone had similar experience.
