I need some advice on trying to secure my last pay check from my previous employer.
My previous employer filed for Bankruptcy the day after I quit. On my last day( I had not clue that this was impending) my HR set up an exit interview and told me that my last pay check including my accrued vacation hours will be paid out in the next pay roll period. Today they are out of business and I am not sure how I should handle this situation. My company owes about $3k plus in payments to me. Kindly advice.
I have written an email to HR but I am not sure if HR will answer me anymore.
