Visitor Insurance Claim Process

After taking the treatment, you should file a claim with the insurance company. You will need to fill a claim form and submit it with the insurance company. Up on verification and approval of the claim the insurance company can reimburse the payment.

Claim handling, filing process, and contact number can also be found on the insurance policy documents.

Filing the Claim
File the claim within the specified period/date, generally within 90 days from the day of service obtained. Follow up with the process from time to time with the insurance company.

Claim Evaluation
The time taken for evaluating a claim is subjective to each case; it may take a few weeks to several months depending on several factors, however the insured need to be careful with all the transcripts (bills & receipts) to ensure there is no delay on his/her behalf.

Payment/Reimbursement
Depending on the various factors including specific insurance company rules, the insurance company can make the payment directly to the hospital/Dr/Facility or may reimburse the payment to the insured for all approved and qualified claims as per the insurance plan.
