U.S. Consulate Hyderabad starts March 05, 2009 |

| The new American Consulate General in Hyderabad is scheduled to begin consular operations on March 05, 2009. The Hyderabad Consular District covers only the state of Andhra Pradesh. Visa applicants from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala should continue to apply at the Chennai Consulate. Residents of Andhra Pradesh who have already scheduled prior interview appointments at the Chennai Consulate may proceed for their interview to Chennai as scheduled. |
