USCIS: Some Biometric Appointment Notices Issued in Error
If you are wondering why you received second biometric appointment (Form I-797C) at the Application Support Center (ASC) even though you just attended your ASC appointment a few days back or have been scheduled for one in the near future. You need not worry, it is just an error on part of USCIS. Mistakenly ASC biometric appointment letter has been sent more than once to some customers.
If you have not attended the ASC biometric, and got the I-797C delivered twice, you should attend once. You must take all the notices to that appointment and attend the same.
And if you have received application notice for the same application type, even after you have attended the appointment. You need to call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283 (TTY for hearing impaired: 1-800-767-1833) to confirm whether or not your presence is needed again.
USCIS has issued this announcement on October 3rd, 2014. This schedule error may include any person in or around the time.
