Sixteen EB-5 (Immigrant Investor Program) Regional Centers Terminated Recently

On January 9, 2015, USCIS terminated sixteen EB-5 regional centers. USCIS terminates regional centers that are inactive, fail to submit Form I-924A, or lack economic growth. The following terminated regional centers may not participate in the Immigrant Investor Program:

Effects of Termination

Upon termination from the EB-5 program, the terminated regional centers will no longer be able to request, initiate, or promote investors or investments for any other EB-5 related projects. They also will not participate in any Immigration Investor Program.

How Does It Affect the Applicant?

If you are going to be a part of the immigrant investment program, you should be aware of the USCIS terminated regional centers. You should not use an investment in a terminated regional center to establish eligibility for immigrant status beneath the Immigrant Investor Program.
