July 2022 Visa Bulletin Results & Analysis

The July 2022 Visa Bulletin has been released! In this article, we will take a closer look at the new priority dates and provide an analysis of what we believe is to come in future bulletins for this fiscal year.

It turns out that our July 2022 Visa Bulletin predictions were very close to the actual results – especially with India EB3. The movement in most categories was minimal, but hopefully more movement is on the horizon for the rest of 2022.

July 2022 Visa Bulletin Analysis

As expected, India EB3 has no change for dates for filing applications and final action date. At this time, it doesn’t appear that India EB3 will make much movement until September of this fiscal year.

The final action date for India EB2 did advance by 3 months, and the dates for filing applications moved slightly ahead by just 1 month. While we understand this movement isn’t what most green card applicants were hoping for, it does give hope that a retrogression is not on the horizon.

Can we expect more movement, or any movement, in the coming August 2022 Visa Bulletin? We don’t expect India EB3 to move in August – possibly in September. For India EB2, it is likely that both the final action date and date of filing application will move slightly – we estimate by 3 months.

USCIS Visa Bulletin Website Update

The USCIS is planning on announcing a Visa Bulletin website soon, which will be dedicated to keeping track of final action dates and dates for filing applications. It is also believed that their announcement will clarify whether USCIS is accepting adjustment of status applications based on the final action dates or the dates for filing applications.

Be on the lookout for our next release, which will feature our August 2022 Visa Bulletin predictions.
