Second Round 2024 H1B Lottery Complete, Selections Notified

The USCIS has released official news that they have completed the second round of random selections of the remaining FY 2024 H1B visa registrations and have selected enough registrations to reach the cap. The USCIS reports that they selected 77,600 additional registrations in the second round of the H1B visa lottery. All petitioners with selected beneficiaries have been notified.

Petitioners with selected registrations will be able to file H1B cap-subject petitions for beneficiaries named as selected within the filing period indicated on the selection notice. This filing period will be open for at least 90 days. While not announced by USCIS, sources report that the open filing period for second round selections is August 2, 2023 through October 31, 2023.

Note

Online filing is not available for H1B petitions, so petitioners must file by paper for their selected beneficiary. A printed copy of their registration selection notice must be included in the application.
