Renunciation Naturalized before June 1, 2010 with Indian Passport
If your renunciation was naturalized before June 1, 2010, you must submit the following documents with your renunciation of Indian citizenship application:
- You must register online at VFS Global before sending your application. Failure to do so with leave your application unprocessed.
- Original Government Application Online Form
- Photograph and signature – original and digital
- Two original duly filled and signed renunciation certificates
- Copy of proof of address
- Photocopy of US/Non-US passport
- Affidavit of naturalization after the expiry of Indian passport – original and notarized
- Copy of name change document, if applicable
- Most recent Indian passport – actual, original signed passport plus photocopies of the first three pages and the last two pages of the passport
- Copy of naturalization certificate
- Fee payments and couriers

Renunciation Naturalized on or after June 1, 2010 with Indian Passport
If your renunciation was naturalized on or after June 1, 2010, you must submit the following documents with your renunciation of Indian citizenship application:

- Two original duly filled and signed renunciation certificates

Applicants of either of the above categories who were naturalized without an Indian passport must submit the following additional documents:
- Original Government Application Online Form
- Photograph and signature – original and digital
- Two Declaration of Renunciation of Citizenship of India Forms
- Copy of proof of address
- Photocopy of US/Non-US passport
- Affidavit of naturalization after the expiry of Indian passport – original and notarized
- Copy of name change document, if applicable
- Sworn Affidavit
- Naturalization Certificate
- Proof of Indian Origin
- Police Report (if passport is missing)
- Affidavit of Loss signed by the applicant
- Fee payments and couriers
Minor applicants of either of the above categories must submit the following additional documents.
- Parental Authorization Form for Minors
- Sworn Affidavit for Naturalization Certificate
