The U.S. Embassy in New Delhi stands as one of the largest U.S. diplomatic missions worldwide, signifying the significance that the United States attributes to its alliance with India. Back in 1947, the United States took the initiative to establish diplomatic ties with an independent India, becoming the first nation to exchange ambassadors.
