Pleasantly surprising all those with a watchful eye on Visa Bulletin updates, the February 2024 Visa Bulletin brought news of many key changes across key categories. Furthermore, the Bulletin update actively quelled our fear of seeing retrogression after seeing such significant shifts in dates announced at the beginning of the year. While not as significant as the slew of changes reflected in the January 2024 Visa Bulletin, many categories saw a positive shift in dates.
As the USCIS works through its backlog and continues to increase visa processing, categories such as F2A, EB2, EB3, and EB4 incurred another progression in the priority date deadline between the January 2024 Visa Bulletin and the February 2024 Visa Bulletin.
Since both Bulletin announcements brought significant changes, there is a high possibility of seeing little to no changes from the status quo in the upcoming update.
While the USCIS is actively working to increase visa processing for both family-based and employment-based visas, we have already begun to see the USCIS taking action to place caps on the increasing demand of many visa categories to accommodate the supply and demand.

After weighing the impact of the February 2024 Visa Bulletin announcement, the USCIS can very well determine no need to announce a change in the coming announcement. Keep an eye out for the March 2024 Visa Bulletin, as we expect it to be released within the coming days.
Let’s take a look at what we can expect to see in the upcoming March 2024 Visa Bulletin.
March 2024 Visa Bulletin Predictions
In our initial March 2024 predictions, featured in our February 2024 Visa Bulletin Results and Analysis, we predicted that there is a high likelihood that the March 2024 Visa Bulletin will not bring any significant changes, especially in the categories that saw shifts in the past two announcements. It would be very unfortunate, but it would not be a shock if March sees virtually no changes at all or even a small retrogression in the categories that saw shifts in the previous two Bulletin announcements.
As briefly mentioned earlier, the USCIS has been working hard over the past few months to increase processing capabilities and efficiency in the 2024 visa season. The significant movements in dates are a reflection of those efforts.
That being said, there is a possibility that March 2024 could join the rising trend and bring news of positive progressions in priority dates in high-demand categories, similar to its predeceasing Bulletin announcements. Otherwise, we don’t expect to see any significant advancement in priority dates in the March 2024 Visa Bulletin.
